Absentee Voting

February Presidential Primary: Ballot Selection Form

Election season is underway, marked by the upcoming Presidential Primary Election scheduled for February 27, 2024.

For individuals enrolled in the Permanent Ballot List, it is required to complete a Ballot Selection Form to indicate that you want to have either a Democrat or Republican Presidential Primary Ballot in order for the City Clerk's Office to issue an Absentee Ballot.

There are no proposals on the February 2024 Ballot, so the “Local Only” option does not apply. The City has recently sent Ballot Selection Forms via mail to all eligible voters on the Permanent Ballot List.

Selection Process

While the selection of a Republic or Democratic Ballot is required for the Febraury 2024 Presidential Primary Election, as has been in past Presidential Primaries, this does not tie your voter registration to one particular party, it is simply a selection of ballot type.
