Station Street Closure

9/25/2017 TO 10/27/2017

TRAVERSE CITY- The City of Traverse City and Alpers Excavating Inc. will be reconstructing Station Street (alley south of Eighth St) between Wellington Street and Franklin Street. The project will start Monday, September 25, 2017 and is expected to be substantially completed by October 27, 2017.

Work includes removing the existing pavement and installing new pavement, curbs and gutters, storm sewer main systems with two drywells, and sanitary sewer main systems. Station Street between Wellington Street and Franklin Street will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the project. Commercial vehicles and deliveries are encouraged to use side streets to make their deliveries.

Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion, delay and promote worker safety. Appropriate signage and barricades will be in place in and around the work area.

This construction will generate dust, noise and cause inconvenience. We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. Please feel free to email or call Jessica Carpenter, jcarpenter@traversecitymi.gov  (231) 922-6894, if you have any questions, comments or concerns about the work or the schedule.
