M-22 (S. West Bay Shore Dr.) Lane Closure
10/23 – 11/1/2017
TRAVERSE CITY- The City of Traverse City and Elmer’s Crane and Dozer, Inc. will be installing a sanitary sewer manhole on the west side of M-22 (S. West Bay Shore Dr.) between E. Carter Rd. and M-72 West (East Traverse Hwy.). The work is expected to start on Monday, October 23rd and be substantially complete on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Schedule is subject to change due to weather.
Approximately 500 feet of the southbound lane of M-22 between E. Carter Rd. and M-72 West will be closed to all traffic. Southbound traffic will be shifted into the center turn lane through the work zone. The speed limit for southbound traffic will be reduced from the posted 40 mph to 30 mph in the work zone.
Delays can be expected. Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion. Appropriate signage and barricades will be in place in and around the work areas.
