Action Plan meetings set for November 20
TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN- The Safe Routes to School teams at West Middle and Central Grade schools will be hosting Action Plan meetings to assess possible improvements to make routes students use to walk and bike to school safer. Attend the Meeting: The Action Plan meetings for West Middle and Central Grade Schools will take place on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Committee Room, 2nd Floor, Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Ave, Traverse City MI 49684.
- Who should attend: Community members, neighborhood associations and school communities are encouraged to participate in the Action Plan meetings.
- Meeting agenda: Participants will review walking audit comments and maps to identify possible improvements that will aide in the safest routes for children to walk and bike to school. Snacks will be provided. Please plan on 1 hour.
Take the Survey: Currently, Norte is collecting surveys among parents and students at various Traverse City area Elementary and Middle Schools related to present attitudes and behaviors toward walking or biking to school. This information will be used to develop education, encouragement, enforcement and engineering strategies to increase safe walking and biking to school. To take the survey, visit: https://elgruponorte.org/survey/ and scroll down to the school that your child(ren) attend and click the link. The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete.
