Hickory Hills Ski Area
Season Opening Update

TRAVERSE CITY- It is with great excitement that we announce Hickory Hills will open for the 2019 ski season on Saturday, January 5, 2019.  Hours of operation for opening day will be 11:00am – 8:30pm.  Five runs will be open including the new Bunny slope named “Fast Tammy”, which contains the first ever conveyor lift at Hickory Hills. Additional runs will be added as snowmaking conditions allow and as mother nature delivers us natural snow.

To launch the season, we’ll be utilizing a temporary ticket office and warming areas while we await the completion of the new, modern lodge.   The old lodge will be open for food service, restrooms and a warming space for skiers.  Please check out our temporary site map (attached) to help you get the lay of the land!

Annual ski passes and daily lift tickets may be purchased on site during open hours or at the Treasurer’s Desk at the Governmental Center (400 Boardman Ave).  Purchasing tickets and passes ahead of time may decrease your wait times on opening day.

Our normal operating hours for the season are as follows:

Sunday: 11:00am – 5:00pm

Monday – Friday: 4:00pm – 8:30pm

Saturday: 11:00am – 8:30pm

Special hours are available for school holidays and on school snow days.  For additional information about Hickory Hills, please visit our website at http://www.traversecitymi.gov/hickory_hills.asp
