Are you passionate about City parks or our vibrant downtown? Do you know someone that is?

The City welcomes your active participation on a volunteer City board. The City is seeking candidates for a variety of Boards. Join other volunteer in shaping policy initiatives and services affecting your community. The City looks forward to hearing from you!  

The following Boards have positions with expiring terms or current vacancies:

  • Parks and Recreation
  • Downtown Development Authority Board
  • Arts Commission
  • Economic Development Corporation
  • Brown Bridge Advisory Committee
  • Board of Zoning Appeals – Alternate Member

Thank you for your interest in serving on one of Traverse City’s Boards! As a potential Board member, you will serve as an ambassador to the community, helping our City Commission move forward with services affecting the community. No matter your interests, we have a Board to fit your passion. All Boards help us build a great community together.
