PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

200 Block E. Front St. North Alley Closure 

The east end of the alley will be closed

immediately until repairs are completed

TRAVERSE CITY- Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that the city of Traverse City will be closing the East end of the alley North of 200 E. Front St. until repairs can be completed to a failing storm sewer.

There will be appropriate signage in place while the work is taking place.  Property owners will be able to access their property at all times and access to businesses will remain in place.  It is unknown at this time how long the repair will take.  Every effort will be taken to get the work completed and the alley re-opened.   

Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion, delay and inconvenience for your travels.

TRAVERSE CITY- Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that 200 Lake Street Development LLC will be erecting a steel structure requiring the Northbound lane of Park Street as well as the parking on the East side and the East sidewalk to be closed.

There will be appropriate signage in place while the work is taking place.  Property owners will be able to access their property at all times and access to businesses will remain in place.  It is anticipated that this project will be completed in three to four weeks weather permitting.   

Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion, delay and inconvenience for your travels.

Traverse City residents are invited to participate in the process of government by serving on one of the city's citizen boards and committees. Through this service, civic-minded citizens can become involved in their local government. The city, in turn, benefits from the knowledge, experience and expertise of our citizens.

 Board of Tax Review
The purpose of the Board of Tax Review is to examine, review, and correct the assessment roll. Members of this board have minimal commitment, only meeting periodically throughout the year.  This person shall be a City resident. 

Local Officers Compensation Commission
This Commission determines the salaries of such local elected offices, which determination shall be the salaries of the legislative bodies.  This board is a low commitment, meeting only in odd years.
