Traverse City Stops for Pedestrians

In 2011, the City passed a Local Ordinance that requires drivers to stop for pedestrians in marked and posted crosswalks. In 2012, City Staff formed a committee to establish a process to work toward implementation. A public education campaign was worked on in 2013. Plans to launch the education program and begin enforcement in early 2014.
