Q: What is the site fee? What does that include?
A: The cost of the venue will vary depending on the date, time of year, weekday vs. weekend, and other variables. For specific pricing and details, please contact the Event Manager under the Contact Us tab. The rental fee includes existing furniture, restrooms, kitchen space, and venue space.
Q: What is the deposit? Is there a refund for cancellation?
A: A 25% deposit is due at signing, another 25% six months before the event, then the remaining balance is due a month before the event. The first deposit is non-refundable.
Q: How many people does The Lodge at Hickory Hills hold?
A: The Lodge can accommodate up to 120 people for a seated reception, 200 people for a wedding ceremony, and 189 people for a standing cocktail reception.
Q: Do you have different tables for events?
A: In the winter, tables and benches are included with the venue. For a fee, they can be removed. Once ski season is over, the tables and benches will be removed but for a fee, can be brought back in for your event. For traditional round tables, those will need to be provided by the renter.
Q: Where can we take pictures?
A: The Lodge offers the ability for guests to take pictures inside and out. The grounds are for you to use for all photo opportunities. For an extra fee, special transportation will take you to the hilltop for unbelievable breathtaking photo opportunities.
Q: Are there restrooms on-site?
A: Yes- The Lodge has indoor restrooms for men and women.
Q: Is the facility and restrooms handicap accessible?
A: Yes - The Lodge at Hickory Hills is ADA accessible.
Q: Is there adequate parking?
A: Yes - The Lodge has two parking lots. The main parking lot has ample parking for up to 140 cars, with an additional parking lot for up to 30 more cars.
Q: What time will my guests have to leave the facility?
A: Musical entertainment for all outdoor events at The Lodge must end at 10:00 p.m. and by 11:00 p.m. for indoor events. Your guest must leave the facility by 12:00 a.m.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Yes- smoking is allowed in the designated smoking areas outside the facility.
Q: Is cooking permitted on-site?
A: Cooking is allowed on-site but not in the prep kitchen. Caterers must pre-cook all meals or can pull a food truck to the back door of the kitchen and cook meals there. Caterers are allowed to use the kitchen to set up all dishes.
Q: What time can the vendors arrive for the event?
A: Vendors are able to arrive at 8:00 am.
Q: Are decorations allowed in The Lodge?
A: Yes - The following are prohibited to be used on the walls, floors, doors, windows, and ceiling: nails, pins, tacks, staples, glue or tape. You are allowed to use candles or floating candles on the tables as long as they are in an appropriate vase.
Q: Is The Lodge air-conditioned and/or heated?
A: Yes - The Lodge is fully air-conditioned during the warmer months and heated during the colder months.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: No - Unless they are a certified service animal.
Q: What are the dimensions of The Lodge?
A: The indoor space is 45 ft. long by 40 ft. wide or 1,800 sq. ft. The area available to be tented in the outdoor space is 100 ft. by 40 ft. wide or 4,000 sq. ft.
Did You Know?
The Lodge is home to the Hickory Hills Ski Resort. During the winter, the great outdoors is taken over by thousands of skiers as they come out and experience the variety of skill leveled slopes. Over the years, Hickory Hills has incorporated trails for cross country enthusiasts and disc golf courses. There are two different cross-country trails that wrap up and around the ski slopes providing guests with a scenic view of the hills and nature and a range of difficulty. The resort is home to three nine-hole disc golf courses, where several run along the slopes.
