City and DDA Offices Closed at Noon

Traverse City – The community should be aware that effective at 12:00 p.m. this afternoon, November 18, 2025, all City of Traverse City Offices and the DDA Office will be either closed or operating with limited staff in response to the recent tragedy impacting our community and organization. These changes will remain in effect through the end of the day to allow staff the opportunity to process and support one another, and continue to access counseling services during this difficult time.

Essential services will continue. Residents may experience delays in response times and limited in-person availability. The City encourages customers to use online services when possible and to postpone non-urgent business to a later date. The red drop box is available at the Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Avenue, for utility payments.

The City is holding space for all community members impacted, and asks for patience, understanding, and compassion as employees, neighbors, family, and friends take time to process and support one another.
