The City of Traverse City will receive sealed bids at the Office of the City Engineer, 2nd Floor, Governmental Center, 400 Boardman Avenue, Traverse City, Michigan, 49684Until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 for the 2014 Sidewalk Replacement and Gap Infill Project. The work involved in this project consists principally of the following:

24,586             SFT                 Concrete Sidewalk Replacement, 4 Inch

1,141               SFT                 Concrete Sidewalk/Drive Replacement, 6 Inch

30,402             SFT                 Concrete Sidewalk, 4 Inch

6,384               SFT                 Concrete Sidewalk, 6 Inch

Plans and specifications may be examined at the Office of the City Engineer after June 16, 2014. Copies of the plans and specifications may be viewed online and printed from the Builders Exchange Northwest Michigan (BXTVC) by going to: and clicking on “Private Projects” using Code # 1451104858. Members may use their regular user ID and Password. Non-members must complete an online registration form first to get a user ID and password. If printed plans and specifications are desired, then complete the online order form, secure online payment for printed copies and they will be mailed/delivered by the BXTVC. Members and registered users will receive addenda.


A certified check, bank draft or bid bond without condition to the City of Traverse City in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount shall be submitted as a guarantee of good faith subject to the conditions stipulated in the “Instructions to Bidders”. The City of Traverse City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, and to accept the bids either on an entire or individual basis that is in the best interests of the City of Traverse City. This is not a federal aid project.
