TRAVERSE CITY- Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that the City of Traverse City Street Department will be closing the easterly (outside) northbound lane of South Garfield Avenue between Carver and Hannah Streets starting Monday, March 27, to repair catch basin structures. This work will be completed by March 31, weather permitting.

The work will require the easterly (outside) northbound lane of South Garfield Avenue to be closed throughout this time. Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion, delay and inconvenience for your travels. Appropriate signage and barricades will be in place in and around the work areas.  Access will remain for businesses in this area.

This construction will generate dust, noise and cause inconvenience. We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation. Please feel free to call Robert Becker at 922-4901 ext. 119 if you have any questions, comments or concerns about the work or the schedule.
