RESIDENTIAL LOOSE LEAF AND BRUSH
PICK UP GUIDELINES
Loose Leaf Pick Up: April 17, 2017 - Begins on the West side of City, moving East.
Brush: April 17, 2017 - Begins on the West side of City, moving East.
*Crews will only go down your street one time*
LOOSE LEAF PICK-UP - Begins April 17, 2017 - Do not place leaves in street until Thursday, April 13, 2017. Do Not Use Plastic Bags! Biodegradable Paper Bags are Ok.
Place leaves on the street for pick-up - not in alley. Please do not allow leaves to plug storm water drains.
BRUSH – Begins April 17, 2017, all brush must be neatly stacked. Large branches cannot exceed 4 inches in diameter, and CANNOT EXCEED ONE 8’ x 8’ x 4’ HIGH PILE. Christmas trees are allowed. No logs, tree stumps or shrub root balls are allowed. Place in alley if exists, or behind curb or pavement edge on street, if no alley.
PLEASE REMEMBER, OTHER THAN THE SCHEDULED DATES FOR SPRING LOOSE LEAF PICK UP AND BRUSH PICK UP, IT IS AGAINST CITY ORDINANCE TO PLACE ANYTHING IN THE CITY STREET, ALLEY OR RIGHT-OF-WAY.
PLEASE HELP US KEEP THE STREETS CLEAN, FREE OF YARD DEBRIS, LITTER, CIGARETTE BUTTS, PAINT AND AUTO FLUIDS. ANYTHING THAT GOES INTO A STORM DRAIN FLOWS TO GRAND TRAVERSE BAY.
Residents should remember that if they have yard waste that they want picked up before or after the City’s leaf pick up, American Waste will do the pick up for $2.23 per bag as part of their service. Call American Waste at 943-8088 for information regarding their sticker program.
