E. State St. Closure

TRAVERSE CITY- The City of Traverse City and Elmer’s Crane and Dozer, Inc. will be resurfacing E. State St. between S. Garfield Ave. and Hope St. The work is expected to start on Monday, August 6th and be substantially complete by Friday, August 31, 2018. Schedule is subject to change due to weather.

The contractor will remove the existing asphalt surface, grade and compact the gravel base and resurface with hot mix asphalt.

E. State St. between S. Garfield Ave. and Hope St. will be closed to through traffic. Turning movements from S. Garfield Ave. onto E. State St. will be prohibited. A detour will be provided utilizing Webster St. Cross street traffic on Rose St. and Barlow St. will be maintained.

Delays can be expected. Please use alternate routes avoiding this area to reduce congestion. Appropriate signage and barricades will be in place in and around the work areas.
